NIKON DSLR USER

I am sure that you will agree that both of these offerings from Nikon are great cameras, with the D700 having the edge on picture quality, but not by as much as you would imagine. The D300 can hold its own in normal shooting conditions, but it is in low light situations that the D700 excels. (We will visit low light performance later, you will be amazed).
I own both of these camera bodies. I am in the process of selling the D300 to purchase a second D700 to use in my photography business. I have used each camera extensively in a variety of situations such as weddings, corporate functions, photographing products, product design, daytime long exposures (using an ND10 filter), night time long exposures, low light photography, portrait photography, landscapes, star trails, macro and a multitude of other situations.
Over the next few pages I will try to pass on my experiences with each camera, give examples of the images I have captured and show the difference in performance between each model.
I have to say that the replacement for the D300, with HD video is of very little interest to me. I have a digital video camera. My DSLRs are for still images and I have not yet managed, psychologically, to cross that bridge to bring the two together in one package. More to pay for and more to go wrong!

And now there is this beauty, the Nikon D3S. I purchased this camera about a year ago and have been amazed at it performance advantage over the D700 in all conditions.
Faster focusing, better sensor, faster processor, even less noise in low light and super fast 9 frames per second bursts.
Everything about this camera is amazing. I know the new D4 is out soon with 25% more pixels, but it will have to go a long way to beat this beauty!
NIKON D3S
NIKON D800
And finally this new offering from Nikon, which will I am sure blow every bodies mind away. Especially the poor Canon users who seem to be left in the dark in terms of development at the moment.
Although I will not be making any changes to my equipment at the moment, I do have a friend who will have one of these in the first UK batch, so I will be having a real close look! More money!
35 million pixels and a whole host of other improvements, but only 4 frames per second which makes the camera a little focused for me, not as versatile as my D700 and D3S!
